Hello Villagers,
A short note to let you know that Samantha and I (Di), have been busy crocheting poppies for Remembrance Day. All monies raised will go to the Royal British Legion. We are asking for a minimum donation of £2.50 per poppy please.
I’ve created a form so that you can order your bespoke poppy, we will finish them to your specifications… Basically there are a couple of choices for you, firstly – would you like a Red traditional poppy, or a Purple poppy? Whilst you are all familiar with the red poppy and it’s symbolism, the purple poppy is used to recognise all of the animals that lost their lives in war, supporting their human soldiers; as a village of animal lovers we thought there may be some of you out there who may like to adorn a collar or browband with the purple ones. The other choice is how you would like to wear your poppy, you can either have it with a) safety pin (brooch style), b) a hair bobble or c) a tie to attach to for example a dog collar or browband.
