Dear Villagers
Each year, at Christmas, we have a number of things that we do to make the village feel Christmassy (not a word from the OE dictionary, I’m sure) that don’t take up much time, but make a huge difference!
Please reply to this email to put your name down to decorate a window in your home during Advent for people to come and look at. I’ll put a map together so that you can walk around and feel festive. We need 23 windows please !
The children of the village are also invited to look after Mary & Joseph for a night or two on their long journey to Bethlehem (the church, in time for the Crib Service on Christmas Eve….not to be missed!) They’re very low maintenance guests as they arrive in a shoe box and don’t require food 
Perhaps you’d like to be part of the Crib service; we need a Mary, Joseph, Baby Jesus, donkey, three kings, a star and , of course, Angel Gabriel….. the more, the merrier.
I’d be really grateful if you can do any or all of these things to start the festive season off with a bang.
