To complete some finishing works at the Finmere Bridge it will be necessary to close the A4421 overnight, for approximately 1 week. These works will involve the completion of the bridge hoarding. Once these works are complete, the A4421 will reopen as normal.
Due to these finishing works requiring large plant and machinery, we are required to close these sections of road until they are complete. This is for the safety of road users and our staff. To reduce the inconvenience to road users, this closure will take place overnight
When will these works take place?
Overnight, 8.00pm to 6.00am, from Monday 27 September to Friday 1 October.
Overnight, 9.00pm to 6.00am, from Friday 1 October to Monday 4 October.
Should these works be delayed, the contingency dates for the closure are:
Monday 4 October to Friday 8 October, 8.00pm to 6.00am.
Friday 8 October to Saturday 11 October, 9.00pm to 6.00am.
We will work to open the roads to reduce disruption as soon as possible.
