It is with great sadness that we mourn the death of our Queen Elizabeth II.
On behalf of the people of Preston Bissett, the Parish Council would like to express their deep condolences to all members of the Royal Family.
Her reign spanned more than 70 years and in all that time she dedicated her life to the service of us all, to the nation and to the Commonwealth.
She gave us the stability and strength when we needed it; she gave us her smile, her humour, her energy and her full engagement with everyone she met.
She was an inspiration to us all.
A book of condolence will be made available in the Parish Church from 8 am tomorrow, Saturday.
We have arranged for our Queen’s Jubilee Bench to be placed in front of the Village Hall, where flowers can be placed in memory of the Queen
