Potholes and gritting – a note from the Parish Clerk

Dear Resident,

It’s that time of year again when the roads and pavements may get icy, so please take care in and around the village.  The potholes are appearing thick and fast too, so please do help us get them fixed by reporting these on ‘Fix My Street’; the more people who report them, the quicker they get fixed!

Regrettably, despite our best efforts, we are still not on the County Council road gritting route. The Parish Council has, however, had the salt bins filled and have a manual gritting machine available to anyone kind enough to distribute salt on the roads and pavements around the Village.

The machine is located at the back of the Old School and is free for use; all we ask is that it be put back after use.

Wishing you a Happy New Year,

Hollie Nethercleft

Parish Clerk

For and on Behalf of Preston Bissett Parish Council
