Help with Recreation Ground Grass Cutting in 2025
Hello Villagers,
We need volunteers to cut the grass around the recreation ground in the village starting in
June. The intention is to cut the grass every couple of weeks until the end of September.
If you prefer not to use your own, the village has a lawnmower that can be used to cut the
grass. Any fuel costs with a receipt that you incur can be re-claimed.
The areas which need cutting will be the goal post areas, around the zip wire, and behind
the tennis court. This is a manageable area and shouldn’t take long.
If you would like to help, please email parishcouncil@prestonbissett.co.uk with your name
and the date(s) you can cut the grass. See table below for available dates.

Please note that the strip of grass between the Tennis court and the Playground is no longer being
cut to encourage the growth of wildflowers. Also, the large area of grass at the bottom of the
recreation ground is mowed by Graham Gulliver with his tractor.
