Update from the Old School Trustees

Following a meeting between the Trustees of The Old School and their legal advisors, the advisors have written to confirm the status of their action in this matter.
They state that application to the Charity Commission has been made with the aim of ensuring that use of the building as a village hall can be properly continued. Correspondence with the Commission on the application has been ongoing for some time and while it is appreciated that lack of public information is frustrating, the history of the matter is complex and the clear legal advice is not to publish details of the application until a draft order, or “Scheme” as it is known, has been received from the Commission.
The trustees will update this status with the advice of their legal advisors as soon as it is appropriate.
