Recreation area now open, but not the play equipment…

Preston Bissett Parish Council

Recreation Area

On 13 th May 2020 the Government issue new guidance on
spending more time outdoors. In summary it says:

 From today, people are allowed to spend more time outdoors
 They will be able to go to parks and beaches to sunbathe,
have a picnic and go fishing
 People and their families can relax and exercise in the park
 Outdoor sports courts can reopen, including tennis and
basketball courts as well as golf courses
 People will also be able to see one person from another
household, as long as they follow social distance guidance
 This follows scientific advice that the risk of infection outside
is significantly lower than inside
 All of the new regulations are subject to social
distancing rule

We have therefore re-opened our Recreation
Area but ONLY for relaxation, exercise and
two people playing tennis.

The children’s play area, teenage shelter,
basketball area, table tennis and zip wire
remain CLOSED
